ESTHERVILLE - Memorial services for Leona Kinnard, 87, of Tampa, Fla., and formerly Estherville will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Don Rehner officiating. Interment will be at Estherville Lutheran Cemetery.

She died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Emeritus Assisted Living in Tampa, Fla.

Leona Jennette (Iverson) Kinnard, the daughter of John N. and Olena (Olson) Iverson, was born July 10, 1923, in Jack Creek Township in Emmet County.

Leona graduated from Estherville High School. After graduation from high school she attended the School of Culture.

On July 31, 1943, Leona was united in marriage to Robert D. Kinnard in Oklahoma City, Okla. The couple made their home and raised their family and lived in Wallingford and Estherville. She was self-employed as a beautician.

She was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church.

Leona is survived by two sons; one daughter and eight grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband; one daughter; one brother and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 18, 2010)
