Ex-Estherville Woman’s Services Held Here Today
Mrs. Celia Beatrice Johnson, 92, Spencer, formerly of Estherville, died at 6 p.m., May 25, 1973, at her home in Spencer.

Service were held at 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) in Reese-Henry Chapel, Estherville, with the Rev. Stanley Eyberg officiating. Burial was made in Estherville Lutheran Cemetery.

She was born Nov. 26, 1880, [per cemetery records, 1882, per 1900 census records, 1881] in Upsala, Minn., to Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Paulson and educated in Upsala schools. She was married on April 1, 1914, to Jacob S. [Samuel] Johnson in Estherville, where she had come in 1900.

After their marriage, they owned and operated a building materials business in Estherville until Mr. Johnson’s death in 1950. Since that time Mrs. Johnson has made her home in Spencer with her daughter, Mrs. Jack Miller. She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her two daughters Mrs. Jack (Marie) Miller, Spencer, and Mrs. Arthur K. (Maxine) Hansen, Minneapolis; one granddaughter, Kathie; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Joseph Aalborg and Mrs. Henry Paulson, both of Estherville.

Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral arrangements were made by Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville. Serving as active pallbearers were Orville Paulson, Howard Croner, Craig Tvedt, Gene Kaltvedt, Michael Reynolds and Oscar Myhre Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Gordon Sheltren, Weston Rogers, Bill Clark, Andrew Handeland and Kenneth Paulson.
