Estherville – Services for Bernita Lorna Dahna, 72, will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Kermit Rye and Pastor Arlyn Norris officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. She died Sunday, Dec. 1, 1991, at her home.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Thursday.

She was born March 5, 1919 at Armstrong, the daughter of Niels and Laurine (Schmidt) Hansen and received her education at Maple Hill School. On Jan. 10, 1940 she married Otto Solberg at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. The couple farmed in the Armstrong-Ringsted area. Solberg died in 1956. On March 2, 1957 she was united in marriage with Francis Dahna at Blue Earth, Minn. The couple moved to Estherville where she worked at the V.F.W. Dahna died in 1984.

She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include her two sons: Ronald Solber [Solberg], Casper, Wyo. and Donald Dahna, Estherville; two grandchildren; three sisters: Virginia Dahna, Estherville; Katherine Houseman, Lake Andes, S.D. and Roselie Burgess, Fort Dodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands and one son, Dale Solberg in 1963. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 5, 1991)
