Estherville – Services for Anton E. (Tony) Bervin, 84, will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastors Norman Omodt and Kermit Rye officiating. Interment will be in the Church cemetery. He died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1987 at Holy Family Hospital.

Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born June 9, 1903 at Maple Hill, the son of O.K. and Julia L. (Warberl) Berven. He attended Maple Hill School. On Dec. 17, 1927 he was united in marriage with Laura E. Martz at Jackson, Minn. Berven was a lifetime resident of Estherville where he was self-employed most of his life. In later years he worked for the City of Estherville until retiring. He was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one son William and wife, Wilma, Estherville; two daughters, Mrs. Elwyn (Marge) Stinogel, Milford and Mrs. Gary (Doris) Stam, Estherville; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Theo Berven of St. Paul, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his wife, who died Oct. 15, 1963, parents, brothers and sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 15, 1987)
