Attack Fatal to Woodyard at Age 75
Harry Wesley Woodyard, 75, a long-time Estherville area farmer, died at his farm home Monday afternoon of a heart attack. Mr. Woodyard had been in failing health for six years.

He was born Jan. 27, 1892 to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Woodyard in Des Moines. He moved to his parents’ farm 59 years ago and had lived there until his retirement 10 years ago.

He was married at Estherville June 19, 1916 to Rosa Carpenter. Mr. Woodyard was a member of the Bible Church in Estherville.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa; two sons, Raymond of rural Estherville and Marion of Boise, Ida.; three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Laura) Johnson of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Raymond (Betty) Arndt of Berryville, Ark., and Mrs. Harold (Darlene) Sampson of Kalama, Wash.; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three brothers, Manuel and Lloyd of Estherville and Glenn of rural Estherville, with whom Mr. Woodyard farmed for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Rev. Walter Neuber officiating.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday until services Friday. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 7, 1967)
