Mrs. N.M. Volding
Minnie Charlotte Volding was born Nov. 16, 1884, at Swedona, Ill., and died at 10:15 a.m. Oct. 21, 1946 at Storm Lake, Iowa. She had been ill for six weeks following a stroke Sept. 10, 1946. Before that she had recovered from a stroke which had occurred in the preceding February.

Her girlhood was spent in El Campo, Tex., where she received her grammar and high school training.

On March 29, 1905, she was married to Nels M. Volding at Marathon, Iowa. They resided at Marathon, Eagle Grove and Estherville after their marriage.

Mrs. Volding was a member of the Presbyterian church, the Women’s council, Woman’s club, the Rebekah lodge where she was installed as noble grand for 1946 but was unable to carry out the duties because of illness.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Edward Wilson of Storm Lake, and five brothers and sisters, Mrs. N.C. Benson of Gibbon, Minn.; Mrs. Leroy Anderson of Winthrop, Minn.; Clarence Nelson of Cokato, Minn.; A.W. Nelson of Eagle Grove, and Elmer Nelson of Terril.

Funeral services were held today at 2 p.m. in the Sternborg funeral home and at 2:30 in the Presbyterian church, Rev. R.C. Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery.

Pallbearers were T.O. Thompson, D. Knudsen, J. Rohlf, George Lyman, Robert Knight and John Monroe.

Benson of Gibbon, Minn.; Mrs. Robert Hansen of Madison, Minn.; Mrs. Erve Monroe of Park Rapids, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Anderson of Winthrop, Minn.; Miss Ruth Berlin, Rueben Berlin, and Mrs. Minnie Olson, all of Gibbon, Minn.; Mrs. Warren Johnson of Lafayete, Minn.; Mrs. Naomie Volding, Mr. and Mrs. Russel Volding, Mrs. C. Howe, Mrs. N. Howe, and Mrs. T. Howe all of Marathon, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Olson, Mr. and Mrs. Sig Mutz, Mrs. Willard Steinmetz, and Mrs. Alan Parker, all of Pipestone, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Nelson of Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Kieth Nelson of Terril; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nelson, of Terril; Mr. and Mrs. Mancil Hurlburt of Swea City; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Johnson of Newell, Iowa; and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lewis of Chokio, Minn.
