Rites for Luithly Baby Tomorrow
Mary Luithly, 11-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt Luithly died suddenly yesterday afternoon about 2 o’clock at the Luithly home. She had been ill since Sunday from a bronchial infection but her condition had not been regarded as serious.
The death occurred following the administration of medicine by her parents. While the cause of death is not definitely known, it is believed that the small child aspirated the medicine into the windpipe and combined with mucuous probably then closed the windpipe. Death was almost instantaneous.
Mary Creagh was born March 25, 1955.
She is survived by her parents, two brothers, Bill, 5 ˝, Paul, 4, one sister, Ann, nearly 3, and her grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. W.F. Luithly of Richland.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist church with the Rev. Harrison G. Dawes officiating. Burial will be in East Side cemetery.
Friends may call at the Sandin Funeral Home from noon today until 1 p.m. tomorrow. The casket will be taken to the church at that time and will not be opened.
