Adolph John Origer
Funeral services were held Friday morning at St. Patrick’s Catholic church for Adolph John Origer, 61, who died last Wednesday [September 20, 1944] morning at Holy Family hospital after an extended illness.Adolph John Origer, son of Nicholas John and Catherine Origer was born in Humboldt county, Feb. 22, 1882, but has lived in Emmet county for 50 years. He was united in marriage Nov. 20, 1924 to Leona J. Oberweis. To them eight children were born, Leo John, in the U.S. Navy, Louise, Paul, Mark, Natalie, David, Rosalie and Gerald, and with the widow survive their passing.
Also surviving are seven brothers and sisters, Herman and Joseph of Estherville, Thomas of Duluth, Minn., Charles of Boulder, Colo., Mrs. Marie Cook, Ft. Dodge, Mrs. Louise Jones of Pocatello, Idaho, Mrs. Lucille Dulmaine of Denver. His parents and as sister, Lillian, preceded him in death.
Out of town relatives at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Origer, Duluth, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Sullivan, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kennedy, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Morority and daughter of Caledonia, Minn. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, September 28, 1944)
