Ed A. Frank Died Thursday
Son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Frank of this City – Funeral Services Were Held Last Sunday
Ed Archer Frank, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Frank of this city, died at the home of his parents in this city Thursday, March 5, of appendicitis. Mr. Frank has been bothered with this ailment for some time.He was in Sanborn at the time he was taken sick and was immediately brought home but was physically too weak to withstand the ravages of the disease.
The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Presbyterian church, Rev. Edward Campbell officiating. Interment was made in Oak Hill cemetery. Ed Frank was born 23 years ago and for the past sixteen years has lived with his parents in this county. Mr. Frank was a barber by trade and at the time he was taken sick was working at his trade in Sanborn.
Mr. Frank was a young man of good habits and good prospects and his death brings grief to a large circle of relatives and friends. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, March 11, 1908)
Edward Frank Dead
Edward A. Frank, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Frank, of this city, died at the home of his parents on north 5th street Thursday afternoon after an illness of less than two weeks of appendicitis. He was taken sick at Sanborn where he was working in a barber shop and brought home on Tuesday. An operation was performed Wednesday but to no avail. Deceased was twenty-three years of age at the time of his death and was born and raised in Twelve Mile Lake township, this county, He was a young man of excellent habits and his death is deplored by all. Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 and his remains interred in Oak Hill cemetery. A father and mother, five brothers and five sisters are left to mourn his sudden demise. All were present at the funeral except Mrs. Arend Smouse, of Coon Rapids, who was unable to attend.
