Frank Eiden Dies Mon. Night, Funeral Thursday
Frank Eiden, 65, long-time resident of Estherville, died Monday [March 4, 1946] night at 9:30 at his home in Estherville of a heart stoke. He suffered a paralytic stroke two years ago and had a weak heart but his death Monday was unexpected.Mr. Eiden was born Aug. 24, 1880 in Sherburn, Minn., where he lived as a boy and attended school. He was married March 9, 1903, to Dellas Marie Wagoner in Estherville and had made his home here since.
He was an active officer and member of the Knights of Pythias for more than 37 years. He was also a member of the Presbyterian church.
His survivors include his wife, one sister: Mrs. K. Silverthorne, of Fairmont, and two brothers Henry of Sherburn and Peter of Missouri. Two sisters, Lena Paul and Anna Roderick, a daughter, Thena, and an infant son preceded him in death. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, March 7, 1946)
