Estherville – Services for Mrs. Sever T. (Vera) Egertson, 91, will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Presbyterian Church, Estherville, with Rev. John Bowe officiating. She died Saturday night, Feb. 12, 1983 in the Mainline Nursing Home at Paoli, Pa.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Vera Coleman was born May 27, 1891 at Livermore, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Coleman. She attended the Dolliver School and the University of Iowa. On May 10, 1922 she married Sever T. Egertson. They lived in Minneapolis before moving to Estherville. She was assistant postmaster before her marriage. Mr. Egertson died Jan. 27, 1966, and Mrs. Egertson has lived in Pennsylvania since his death. She was a 70 year member of the Presbyterian church.

Survivors include two sons: Coleman Egertson, Berwyn, Pa., Jack Egertson, Alexandria, Va.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 15, 1983)
