Mrs. L.E. Crim Dies at Age of 75
Mrs. L.E. Crim, 75, died at 11:55 p.m. yesterday at the Crim home of cancer. Mrs. Crim had been hospitalized in Rochester, Minn., last October for surgery and has been bedfast at home since the first of June.The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Shaffer, Gay Shaffer was born March 4, 1881 at Grundy Center. She was married to Lloyd Crim June 28, 1911 at Estherville.
Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Serge (Carol) Agadjanian of Lynbrook, Long Island, New York; two sons, Robert of Mason City and James of Sioux City; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Methodist church, the Rev. Fred Ortmeyer of Charles City, former pastor here, officiating in the absence of Rev. H.G. Dawes who is on vacation. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
The body will lie in state at Sternborg Funeral home from 4 p.m. Wednesday until time of services Thursday. The casket will not be opened following last rites.
The family has established a memorial fund which will be used only for the Damon Runyon cancer fund. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 28, 1956)

Funeral services for Mrs. L.E. Crim who died Monday evening after a long illness will be conducted at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Methodist church, the Rev. Fred W. Ortmeyer of Charles City, former Estherville pastor, officiating in the absence of Rev. H.G. Dawes who is on vacation. Friends may call at Sternborg Funeral home until time of services.
