Mrs. Oddson Services at Wallingford
Mrs. Louisa Oddson, 87, died Nov. 4, 1972, at Care Center, Emmetsburg, after a six-month illness of cancer.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Wallingford Lutheran Church with the Rev. P.L. Mork officiating. Interment will be made in High Lake Cemetery.

She was born June 25, 1885, in Graettinger to Lars and Carrie Brujeld Johnson and received her education in Emmet County rural schools. She married April 2, 1906, to Ed Albert Oddson at Windom, Minn.

They farmed in Minnesota until 1917 when they moved to Emmet County to farm. Her husband died in 1930 and Mrs. Oddson moved to Graettinger in March of 1944. She was a member of Wallingford Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Lillian) Dahle of Britt and Mrs. Linus (Lorraine) Smith of Jackson, Minn., and a son, LeRoy Oddson of Graettinger; three sisters, Mrs. Andrew (Gertie) Iverson, Mrs. Molison (Beatrice) Larson and Mrs. Mathias (Martha) Storesund, Norway.

She was preceded in death by her husband; four sons and two daughters, Ira, Raymond, Clarence, Gladys, Wallace and Bernice (Mrs. Hal Resh); and two brothers.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Robert, Dennis and Allen Moffitt, Merwyn and Ronald Dahle and Roland Shipman. Fuhrman Funeral Home, Graettinger, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation may be made there until 11 a.m. Tuesday when the body will be taken to lie in state at Wallingford Lutheran Church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 6, 1972)
