Estherville – Services for pat Breuer, 63, of Estherville, will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Tom Nash presider. Interment will be in the church cemetery with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3388 and American Legion Post 91 of Estherville. He died Wednesday, May 31, 1995 at his home.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home with Rosary service at 4 p.m. and Parish Vigil service at 7:30 at the funeral home Sunday.
He was born Sept. 11, 1931 at Ashton, the son of John and Emma (Melcher) Breuer. He attended Ashton schools. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On Jan. 31, 1953 he was united in marriage with Dorothea Klein at Ft. Riley, Kansas. After marriage the couple lived in Sheldon from 1954 until moving to Estherville in 1959. He was employed at the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company for 34 years.
He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and V.F.W. Post 3388, all of Estherville.
Survivors include sons: David, of Auburn, Neb.; Dean, of Belvidere, Ill.; Donald of Estherville; Dale of Monticello; Duane in Japan, Darold of Mountain Home, Idaho; and Dan of Milford; daughters: Mrs. John (Julie) Clark of Emmetsburg; Mrs. Terry (Mary) Adams of Dunnell, Minn.; Mrs. Jeff (Sally) Hecht and Mrs. Kory (Laurie) Olson, both of Estherville; 15 grandchildren; brothers: Jack of Homestead, Fla.; Denis, of Armstrong; Roland of Sibley, Jerome of Ashton and Willy of Waterloo; sisters: Mrs. Phil (Virginia) Cistilli, of Boston, Mass.; Mrs. Francis (Patty) Weber of Jesup.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, who died Dec. 19, 1991; grandsons and a brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 3, 1995)
