Funeral services for Johannes Iverson, who died Aug. 25, were held Aug. 27 from the Immanuel Lutheran church at Estherville, with the Rev. L.G. Hinderaker officiating. Burial was in the High Lake cemetery.Johannes Iverson was born Oct. 11, 1870, in High Lake township, Emmet county. There he spent his youth.
He was baptized April 16, 1871, at the Estherville Lutheran church, where he was later confirmed. He held membership in the Immanuel Lutheran church for several years until moving to North Dakota where he lived until the fall of 1927. That year he returned to Iowa and since March, 1934, has lived at the county farm.
Survivors are three brothers Carl Iverson of Chicago and Iver and Martin Iverson of Fargo. Five brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 1, 1943)
