Alfred Hanson Dies
Funeral services are pending at Reese Funeral Home for Alfred Hanson, 86, of Ringsted, who died yesterday at 6:50 p.m. at Holy Family Hospital. Mr. Hanson, who was single, is survived by one sister, Nettie Hanson of the High Lake area. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 7, 1964)Hanson’s Rites to Be Tomorrow
Alfred Hanson, who died at 7 Friday evening at Holy Family Hospital, had been in failing health for the last year. He succumbed to pneumonia and a heart attack.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Immanuel Lutheran church south of Gruver. The Rev. Benjamin Coltvet will officiate and burial will be in High Lake cemetery.
Mr. Hanson was born Jan. 22, 1878, in rural Graettinger, the son of Stiener and Helga Hanson. He received his education in the Graettinger schools. He never married and was a life-time resident of the High Lake area of Emmet county.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church south of Gruver.
Preceding him in death ware his parents and nine brothers and sisters. A sister, Nettie Hanson, of High Lake township survives him.
Friends may call at Reese Funeral Home in Estherville until 10 a.m. tomorrow when the body will be taken to the church. The casket will not be opened following the service.
Pallbearers are Lloyd Obert and Kirt Rockne, Martin Olson, David Norman and Ordeen Hanson. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 9, 1964)
