Final Rites Wednesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Floyd Eaton, 69, of Graettinger will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the North Bethel Lutheran Church in Graettinger, Rev. O.J. Reitz officiating.Burial will be in High Lake Cemetery. Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home in Graettinger from 3 p.m. today until time of services.
Pallbearers will be Harold Brady, Wesley Nielsen, Frank Jacobsen, Richard Eaton, Donald Eaton and Ralph Rouse.
Mrs. Eaton died about 8:30 a.m. yesterday at Holy Family Hospital. She had been ill for two and one-half weeks.
The former Mable Marguerite Brown was born Sept. 29, 1896, at Rodman in Palo Alto County. She received her education in Cedar Falls.
She was married to Floyd Eaton Feb. 26, 1919, at Emmetsburg. Prior to her marriage, she taught school for five years.
Mrs. Easton was an active member of Lost Island W.M.F.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Clare (Maxine) Skattebo of Ringsted and Mrs. Earnest (Mary Margaret) Skattebo of Wallingford; six grandchildren and one brother, M.L. Brown of Sioux Falls, S.D.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Venita Brown. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 15, 1966)
