Early Settler Dead
M. Edwinson Passed Away at His Home Monday
Manbrup [Mandrup] Edwinson died at his home near Ryan Lake Monday at 4:30 p.m. of heart failure. He had been ill but a few days. The funeral service will be held from the home next Saturday and burial made in Mud Lake cemetery.Mr. Edwinson was born in Norway January 18, 1831. He came to Wisconsin 50 years ago and to Emmet county 5 years later. 42 years ago he was married to Miss Olene Olson. The family have lived near Ryan Lake ever since. Only one daughter, Mrs. Lewis Berg, is living. Mr. Edwinson was a reliable and honorable citizen. All join in sympathy to the wife and daughter in sorrow. Mandrup Edwinson, the father of Mrs. Lewis Berg, died at his home near Ryan Lake on Monday of last week of heart failure. He had been ill for only a few days. The funeral services were held at the home on Saturday and burial made in Mud Lake cemetery. Deceased was born in Norway, January 18, 1831 and came to this country about fifty years ago and settled in Wisconsin. Five years later he came to Emmet county where he has since resided. Forty-two years ago he was united in marriage to Olene Olson, who with one daughter, survives him. (Graettinger Time, Graettinger, IA, December 12, 1912)
