Death Takes Mrs. Jessie Anderson, 56
Graettinger, Mrs. Jessie Anderson [Vera Dorothy Lundgren Anderson], 56, died about midnight Tuesday at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville. She had been ill for about a month.

She was born June 12, 1911, at Ayrshire, to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lundgren. She received her education in Ayrshire and Graettinger schools.

She was married Jan. 2, 1934, to Jessie Anderson, at Emmetsburg.

She was a member of Wallingford Lutheran Church and the WLCW Martha Circle. She was cook at Ingham Lake Bible Camp.

Survivors include her husband, children, Duane, Bruce and Kim at home; Mrs. Ralph (Donna) Wilhelm, Greeley, Colo.; Mrs. Donald (Marvis) Krough and Linda Anderson, Des Moines; Mrs. Dom (Judy) Doca, Sacramento, Calif.; Kermit of Velao, [Vallejo?], Calif.; and Maurice serving in Vietnam. Also surviving are eight grandchildren.

Brothers and sisters Rolf Lundgren, Graettinger, Ellis Lundgren and Mrs. Kenneth Sampson, Des Moines; Mrs. Wesley Anderson, and Bob Lundgren, Wallingford; Glenn Lundgren, Ringsted; and Mrs. Lyle Bonstead, Spirit Lake; and her mother.

Funeral services are pending at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Graettinger. Burial will be at High Lake Cemetery. Rev. Robert Glaser will officiate.

Casket bearers are Sylvester Berge, Ralph Torreson, LeRoy Schacherer, Edgar Iverson, Ed Herke and Alfred Lammers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 17, 1968)

Rites for Mrs. Anderson on Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. Jesse Anderson of Wallingford will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Wallingford Lutheran Church, Rev. Robert E. Glaser officiating. Burial will be in the High Lake Cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson died Tuesday [January 16, 1968] shortly before midnight of a heart attack. Hour of the funeral was determined after it was learned that her son, Maurice, who is serving with the Armed Forces in Vietnam, is en route here for the services.

Pallbearers will be Sylvester Berge, Ed Herke, Edgar Iverson, Alfred Lammers, LeRoy Schacherer, and Ralph Torreson. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 19, 1968)
