Rosenberger, Pioneer Resident Dies
Chris Rosenberger died at the University hospital at Iowa City Sunday [December 21, 1930] night following an operation for tumor and other ailments. The operation was performed about six days before his death.

Mrs. [Mr.] Rosenberger was a pioneer resident of Estherville having lived here for forty years continuously. He was born at Femarn, Germany, June 24, 1850, and came to America in 1875. He came to Estherville from Jackson county and has been engaged in various occupations but has devoted his time mostly to the selling of real estate.

He was married February 24, 1897 to Miss Stena O’Tool of Charlotte, Iowa. Besides his wife he leaves one brother Charles to mourn his death. He was a member of the Mystic Workers, Yeomen and Knights of Pythias lodges. As a youth he joined the German Lutheran church.

The K.P. lodge of which he was an active member will have charge of the services as pall bearers and at the grave. Rev. Arthur Bailey of the Presbyterian church will conduct the services at the Mahlum and Anderson chapel Wednesday afternoon. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, December 24, 1930)
