Final Rites on Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. Irwin Ricke, 54, who died at 11:15 a.m. yesterday at Holy Family Hospital will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s church, Msgr. James H. Duhigg officiating.Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Sunday at Fuhrman Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ricke was born Aug. 8, 1912, at Wall Lake, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Woerdehoff. She received her education in Sac county schools.
She was married to Irwin Ricke at Breda June 22, 1937, and they came to Emmet County where they farmed in the Gruver area until 1953.
For the past 12 years Mrs. Ricke had been a cook at St. Patrick’s school.
She was a member of the Holy Family Hospital Auxiliary, of St. Rita’s circle, and of St. Patrick’s Catholic church.
Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. David (JoAnn) Wragge of Council Bluffs; two sons, James of Estherville and Richard at home; one grandson, Todd Wragge; her father, L.J. Woerdehoff of Breda; a brother, Art, of Wall Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Wilford Naberhaus of Holbur and Mrs. William Koster of Harlan.
Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today until time of the funeral.
Pallbearers will be Jack Bittner, Michael Calhan, Arthur Hageman, Alan Krieger, Floyd McDonough, and W.J. Port. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 3, 1966)
