Attend Funeral
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Loxterkamp left yesterday afternoon for Estherville to attend the funeral of Joseph Neppl, a cousin of Mrs. Loxterkamp. (Carroll Daily Herald, January 3, 1931)

Joseph Neppl died Dec. 31, 1930 at his home near Estherville after a year’s illness with cancer. The deceased was born in Roselle township, Dec. 26, 1882 and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Neppl. He came to this locality with his parents at the age of fifteen years and lived on a farm near Breda. Jan. 29, 1918 he was married to Miss Emma Bachman at St. Bernard church at Breda and they located on a farm near Estherville where they since have lived. Surviving are his wife, one son and three daughters. His aged father, Andrew Neppl of Breda, seven brothers and two sisters, Henry, Edward, Englebert of Estherville, Chris of Carroll, Andrew of Kent, Minn., John and Alois, Rushville, Neb.; Mrs. Tony Bachman of Auburn, Mrs. Morton Ludwig of Breda. His mother died about a year ago. Funeral services were held at St. Patrick Catholic church at Estherville Saturday morning with burial in the cemetery there. A large number of relatives and friends from here attended the funeral. (Carroll Daily Herald, Carroll, IA, January 7, 1931)
