Infant Son Dies
Lawrence Eugene Refsell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin K. Refsell, of Wallingford, passed away Friday [October 22, 1926] morning at the tender age of one year. He had been ill but a short time of tubercular meningitis which followed a serious attack of the flu.

The young lad was born in High Lake township, Aug. 19, 1925. Besides his parents, he leaves a sister, Esther. A baby sister Dorothy had preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon from the Lutheran church at Wallingford and burial made in the Bruegeld cemetery. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, October 27, 1926)

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Refsell mourn the loss of their little son, who passed away Friday morning at six o’clock, after being ill for two weeks. It was not thought that his condition was serious until Thursday evening when he was taken to the Coleman Hospital. He was born August 24, 1925. Funeral services were held at the Riverside church, Saturday afternoon, the Rev. Hansen conducting the services. Interment was made at the Wallingford cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Refsell mourn the loss of their 14-month old son who after a few days sickness passed away Thursday evening to his home beyond. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the church conducted by Rev. Hanson, and he was laid to rest in the Riverside cemetery, the parents have the sympathy of the entire community.
