Mrs. Sarah Aure passed away Friday [August 11, 1911] evening at the home of her sister, Mrs. A.J. Anderson after a long and serious illness of cancer. Mrs. Aure had been a very patient sufferer for nearly a year and had an operation performed early last winter but the dread disease grew worse every day and after suffering much for such a long time she passed away to her rest. Her husband died some years ago. The sympathy of the surrounding community goes out to the sorrowing and orphan daughter, Sadie. Mrs. Aure also leaves a brother Paul Paulson and a sister, Mrs. A.J. Anderson, both of this community, and a sister, Mrs. Newgard of N.D. Mrs. Aure had been making her home with her sister here for several months where she received all the care she could get. The funeral will be held Tuesday, August 22. The sorrowing and bereaved relatives have the sympathy of many friends. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, August 23, 1911)
