A.J. Anderson, Pioneer, Near Wallingford Passes Away
Albert J. Anderson, a retired farmer near Mud Lake, died Saturday afternoon, November 4th, at his home.

Mr. Anderson had been sick only eight days suffering from apoplexy.

Albert Julius Anderson was born in Norway on March 16, 1861. He came to America in 1871 with his parents. He grew to young manhood in Emmet county and has been farming in this county until a few years ago when he retired and built the fine home near Mud Lake in which they now live.

He was married to Julia Paulson on June 12, 1888. To this union four daughters were born. Two of which died in infancy. The two daughters living are Mrs. Ada Oudes, of east of Wallingford, and Odell, who is at home.

Besides his wife and two daughters, Mr. Anderson leaves to mourn two sisters and two brothers. They are, Mrs. Susie Bronson, of Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Olga Peterson, of Mobridge, S.Dak.; P.S. Anderson, of Estherville, and O.O. Anderson of Wallingford.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at the house, 1:30 at the East Immanuel Church with the Rev. Nordsletten in charge. Burial will be made in the Riverside Cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, November 8, 1933)
