Edwin Lausen

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two thirty from the Gospel Mission church for Edwin Lausen, 47, who died last Thursday [August 17, 1944] afternoon of a heart ailment. Rev. Lawrence Guge was in charge of the services and interment was made in Oak Hill cemetery Tuesday.

Surviving are the widow [E. Louise Guge], his aged father, one brother, Fred Lausen, of Bakerfield [Bakersfield], Calif., and five children, Rose Mary, Caroline, Harold, Ralph and Denny.

Mr. Lausen had been in failing health since suffering a heart attack several months ago. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, August 24, 1944)
