Granger, Ind. – Services for Thomas O. [Owen] Theophilus, 41, of Granger, formerly of Estherville, will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. John Besore, III officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. He died Monday, Jan. 8, 1990 at St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend, Ind. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home of Estherville is in charge of arrangements.

There will be no visitation.

He was born April 28, 1948 at Jackson, Minn., the son of O.D. and Lorraine (Sampson) Theophilus and attended Estherville School graduating from high school in 1966. He attended Estherville Junior College and graduated from Mankato State University. In August, 1972 he married Cynthia Halverson, Kiester, Minn. He was a sales manager for Harmon Glass Co. many years. The couple lived in Michianna, Ind. area four years.

He was a member of Granger Community Church, Rotary International, National Glass Dealers Association and Norwood County Club.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy, Granger; parents, O.D. and Lorraine Theophilus, Estherville; two sons, Jon and Matt at home; a sister Mrs. David (Nancy) Anderson, Sonora, Calif. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 10, 1990)
