Danville, Ill. – Services for Mrs. Paul (Muriel L.) Sprague of Danville, formerly of Estherville, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Estherville, with the Rev. W. Willis Longer officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Monday, Jan. 29, 1996 at United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville.Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born Aug. 7, 1921 at Armstrong, the daughter of the later Bert and Blanche (Hoppus) Clark. She attended Armstrong School. On March 31, 1951 she was united in marriage with Paul Sprague at Nashua. She was Emmet County Recorder for 12 years, had worked at Emmet County State Bank in Estherville and worked for 13 years for Univac in Jackson, Minn. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Estherville.
She is survived by her husband, Paul, of Danville; one son, Clark of Danville; a daughter Sara (Lynn) Reth of Eldridge; grandchildren: Patrick, Brooke and Samuel Reth; Heather and Nick Sprague and Jason Bradley; two sisters: Mrs. Clifford (Beverly) Peton of Estherville and Lorraine Lucas of Tacoma, Wash.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 1, 1996)
