Died – Feb. 25th, at Swan Lake, Philip E. Nehring, aged 2 years 6 months, oldest child of William and Jane Nehring. Funeral from church Feb. 26th, conducted by Rev. Wilcox. The remains were interred in Swan Lake cemetery. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire neighborhood. (Emmet County Republican, Estherville, IA, March 4, 1897)
