Estherville – Services for Ethan (Pud) Book, 85, will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Kunz officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. He did Wednesday, March 13, 1987 at his home in rural Estherville.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday.

He was born Sept. 11, 1901 at Adel, the son of Ira and Goldie May (Royer) book. He attended Adel and Estherville schools. He lived most of his life in the Estherville area. He worked for Panther Store and the Estherville Creamery, and later farmed with his brother Don until retirement. He never married.

Survivors include one brother Donald, rural Estherville; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 14, 1987)
