Death came quietly to Miss Anna Stephenson, 90, who has been making her home with the John Lilley family for the past three and a half years. She went to sleep late in the afternoon and passed away about eight in the evening.

She came here some twelve years ago. She was the aunt of Guy Wilder and made her home with him until he left here and she then resided at the Lilley home.

The funeral services were held from the Sternborg funeral home Friday afternoon at three o’clock and the remains were shipped to Sandwich, Ill., for burial. This was the deceased home until she came to Estherville to reside. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, November 4, 1948)
