Estherville – Services for Lucille Bahr, 73, of Estherville will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tom Balm officiating. Burial will follow in Estherville’s East Side Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home today after 3 p.m. Mrs. Bahr died Sunday, January 8, 1989 at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville.

Lucille Olga Bahr was born in Estherville on July 1, 1915 to Bert R. and Olga D. Gillett. She attended Estherville schools and on March 8, 1934 married George R. Bahr in Estherville. She made Estherville her home her entire life. Mrs. Bahr was a member of the Estherville United Methodist Church and the Estherville VFW Auxiliary.

She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Norman (Trudy) Bisgard and Mrs. Charles (Jolene) Schmidtke both of Estherville; a son Albert Bahr of Amarillo, Texas; four sisters: Francis Wolfe of Moline, Ill., Virginia Gillett of Amarillo, Texas, Betty Mitchell of Estherville, and Vera Henningsen of Estherville; eighteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 9, 1989)
