Frank DeMoss
Estherville – Services for Frank DeMoss, 72, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tom Balm of United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. He died Monday, May 29, 1989 at his home.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

He was born Sept. 4, 1916 at Rockwell City, the son of James and Sarah (Lester) DeMoss and attended Rolfe and Rodman schools. On Sept. 23, 1939 he married Darlene Walker at Pocahontas. The couple farmed around Cylinder and Graettinger before moving to Estherville in 1947. He worked at Hill Packing Co. five years before working for the City of Estherville 30 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Darlene, Estherville; four daughters: Lois Skattebo, Wallingford; Mrs. Donald (Charlene) Trosin, Tigard, Ore.; Mrs. Bunny (Venetta) Bunkofske, Armstong and Mrs. Tony (Rosemary) Peterson, Brooklyn Park, Minn.; ten grandsons; one great-granddaughter; two brothers: William, Cylinder and Harold, Emmetsburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one son-in-law. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 30, 1989)
