Estherville – Funeral services for Mae E. Wilson, 87, of Estherville will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Saturday, September 16 at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Fogelman officiating. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Estherville. She died on Wednesday, September 13 at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Visitation was held Friday, September 15 at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

She was born on October 3, 1907 in Carroll, the daughter of Todd and Emma (Shuttleworth) Longman. She moved to Estherville in 1909 and received her education in rural Emmet County schools. She married Aaron Verl Wilson on September 21, 1929 in Winterset. Living most of her life in Estherville, she was employed by the Gardston Hotel and Later P.G. Gray and Company.

On July 11, 1988, she became a resident at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville. She was a member of the Fellowship Tabernacle in Estherville.

She is survived by her son, Gene Wilson of Wallingford; six stepchildren; 15 step-great grandchildren; and one step-great great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on August 14, 1984, two daughters, one son and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 16, 1995)
