Aged Lady Died Very Suddenly
Mrs. Osmond Tuttle Called to Rest Last Evening
Funeral Held Friday
Had Fifty Grand Children and Nineteen Great Grand Children
This community was shocked last evening to learn of the sudden death of Mrs. Osmund Tuttle, a well known resident of Estherville. She had been in her usual good health up until a short time before her death. For the past two or three years she has been subject to attacks of heart trouble and it was one of these attacks which bought on her death. Mrs. Tuttle had lived in Estherville many years and was highly respected and admired by all who knew her. She was especially active for a lady of her age and the suddenness with which death claimed her is a great shock to all, and especially the family. She has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. M. Conklin for a number of years. About two months ago a family reunion was held in this city at which time all but two of her children were present.

Mrs. Tuttle [Mary Magdalena Lichty Tuttle] was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania in 1846, being at the time of her death 75 years, 5 months and 18 days of age. Fifty seven years ago she moved to Norway, Iowa, where she was married to Mr. Tuttle. To this union twelve children were born, three having gone to await their mother in that better land. Those surviving are George of Pocahontas, Mary Wheley of Wheaton, Min., Harmon of Alexandria, Mrs. Belle Heesch of Fort Dodge, Henry of Fort Dodge, William of Mora, Minn., Mrs. John Sidles of Huntington, Dan of this city and Mrs. M. Conklin of this city. She is also survived by two brothers and a sister, Fifty grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren also mourn her departure.

The husband passed away eighteen years ago while living near Dunnell, Minn., and Mrs. Tuttle will be laid to rest beside him in the State Line cemetery. Mrs. Tuttle was an active member of the Methodist church for forty years, Her membership being in the church at Norway, Iowa.

Funeral services to be held from the Mrs. Conklin home in the city Friday afternoon at 2:30 in charge of Rev. W.G. Tompkins of Spencer. Burial will be made in the State Line Cemetery. Most of the relatives are expected to arrive for the funeral.

This city has lost a delightful woman, who was never so happy as when she was doing something for some one else. She delighted in entertaining and she will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends. The bereaved relatives have the deepest sympathy of the entire community in their great loss.
