Arnold Peton
Estherville – Services for Arnold E. Peton, 64, of Estherville will be held Thursday at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Jack Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery with full military graveside rites by V.F.W. Post No. 91. He died Monday, Oct. 10, 1994 at Holy Family Hospital.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

He was born July 4, 1930 at Graettinger, the son of Otto and Anna (Kelting) Peton and received his education in country schools. He married Ingrid Wolff June 5, 1964 in Germany. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, stationed in Germany. After their marriage the couple farmed in the Graettinger area until 1968 when they moved to Estherville where he owned and operated the Standard Station for 20 years retiring in 1994.

He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and VFW Post 3388 of Estherville.

Survivors include his wife, Ingrid, of Estherville; sons: Keith of Jefferson City, Mo. and Kurt of Blaine, Minn.; daughters: Mrs. Donald (Teresa) Tendal of Estherville and Mrs. Scot (Patricia) Smith of So. St. Paul, Minn.; eight grandchildren; two sisters: Evelyn Hennick and Mrs. Gary (Edith) Rouse both of Estherville.

He was preceded in death by his parents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 12, 1994)
