Belmond – Services for Hazel Perkins, 88, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Belmond with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville, at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon. She died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1987 at Mercy Hospital, Mason City.

Friends may call at the Tenold Funeral Home in Belmond after 2 p.m. Sunday.

She was born June 4, 1898 at Iowa Falls, the daughter of Bert and Stella (Bell) Hinton. She married Louis Perkins.

Survivors include 2 daughters: Mrs. Merle (Jeanie) Yule, Estherville and Mrs. Marvin (Darleen) Dorenkamp, Iowa Falls; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Lela Stewart and Olive Hinton, Webster City; also a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Marge Perkins, Arnolds Park.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, a son Vic Perkins and a grandson Greg. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 24, 1987)
