Dwight Rokenbodt, the nineteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Roknbrodt of Wallingford, passed away at the Mayo Hospital in Rochester, on April 13. The young man had gone there for an operation, after which he contracted pneumonia. The remains were brought to Wallingford, his home, and services were held there at the home, and in this city at the M.E. church on Tuesday, and the remains laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery. Dwight was an excellent young man and well liked by all in the community. He was an Emmet county boy, born here on Aug. 10, 1890, and grew to manhood here among his friends. The parents have the sympathy of the community in the loss of this young son. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, April 17, 1918)

Dwight Dewey Rokenbrodt was born to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rokenbrodt August 10, 1898 in Emmet county, Iowa. At the age of four he moved with his parents to Kanabec county, Minnesota, where he lived until twelve years of age. He then moved back to Iowa where he resided until the time of his death, which occurred April 13. He was at this time 19 years, 8 months and 3 days old.He leaves to mourn his father and mother, two sisters, Ruth and Hazel, a brother, Floyd, his aged grandparents, also a host of relatives and friends.
