Dan Perry Dead
Dan Perry, one of the pioneer settlers of Emmet county, died at his home, Pomona, Florida, Sept. 13th of paralysis. Deceased was a conspicuous figure in Emmet county at an early day and was generally known and respected. His home was in Armstrong Grove township, where he resided until about fifteen years ago, when he moved to Florida. He always had a tender spot in his heart for his old associates and usually made a pilgrimage to his old home every year or two to give his friends the glad hand. He was stricken with paralysis three years ago and was almost helpless since then, although he retained his faculties to the last. His death was peaceful. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, September 20, 1911)
