Estherville – Services for Gerald Chester Love, 77, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Richard Berger officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. He died Tuesday, May 15, 1990 at his rural Estherville home.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

He was born Dec. 10, 1912 at Lytton, he son of Chester and Emma (Grant) Love and attended Newell, Graettinger and Gruver Schools. He moved with his family to a farm in the Graettinger in 1920 and in 1924 to the Gruver area. He has farmed near Estherville most of his life, retiring five years ago. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Helen [Clemenson]; two sons: Jon of Trinidad, Colo. and Paul, Estherville; a daughter, Mrs. Gene (Carolynne) Fahlenkamp, Kingfisher, Okla.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Starkey of Graettinger.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 17, 1990)
