Estherville – Services for Harold L. [Lesley] “Bud” Graff, 81, of Estherville, will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Estherville with Dr. Mike Thiele officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 1994 at his winter residence at Lakeland, Fla.Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Friday, at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.
He was born Dec. 3, 1912 in Estherville, the son of John and Charlotte (Skattebo) Graff and received his education in the Estherville Schools graduating from Estherville High School. He was united in marriage with Delma D. Dyke on May 8, 1933 in Sioux Falls, S.D. He started farming south of Estherville. In 1941 he began operating the Superior Stockyard for Charles Leupold and in 1945, they formed a partnership to operate the stockyards until the early 1960’s when he retired. He has spent his winters in Florida the past 20 years.
He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Elks Lodge in Estherville.
Survivors include one son Robert Graff and wife, Paulette of Estherville; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1985, daughter, parents and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 3, 1994)
