Arnolds Park – Services for Mrs. Reo (Dorothy) Edwards, 70, formerly of Estherville, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Turner Funeral Home in Spirit Lake with the Rev. Dave Meyer of Estherville Calvary Gospel Assembly Church officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville. She died Sunday, July 5, 1987 at her home.

Dorothy B. Evans was born May 19, 1917 at Estherville, and was the daughter of James and Lillie Evans. She attended Estherville schools and graduated from Estherville High School in 1936. On Dec. 17, 1938 she was united in marriage with Reo (Mickey) Edwards at Canton, S.D. The couple has lived in the Lakes area the past 27 years. She worked many years in the office at Berkley and Company.

Survivors include her husband, Reo, Arnolds Park; two sons, Dennis, Arnolds Park and Mike, Wichita Falls, Tex.; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Marion) Chrestiansen, and a brother Morton Evans, Estherville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 8, 1987)

Dorothy B. Edwards, 70, passed away on July 5 at her home in Arnolds Park after a lingering illness.

Funeral services were conducted at the Tuner Funeral Home with Rev. David Meyer officiating.

Dorothy was born to James and Lillie Evans May 19, 1917 at Estherville, graduating in 1936. On Dec. 17, 1938, she was united in marriage to Reo “Mickey” Edwards at Canton, S.D., and to this marriage two sons, Dennis and Mike were born. Dorothy lived in the lakes region for the last 27 years. She enjoyed fishing and sewing.

She is survived by her husband, Mickey Edwards, Arnolds Park; sons Dennis, Arnolds Park; Mike, Wichita Falls, Tx.; two grandchildren of Arnolds Park, Tina and Brian Edwards; one sister, Marion Christiansen of Estherville and one brother, Morton Evans of Estherville.
