Rites Here for Former City Resident
The body of Mrs. William (Bill) Dickinson, 71, former longtime Estherville resident, is being returned to Estherville for funeral service and burial.Mrs. Dickinson died Tuesday at a hospital in Kennewick, Wash. of a heart attack and dropsy. She had been hospitalized for only a couple of days.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Union Baptist Church, the Rev. Eugene Olson officiating. Friends may call at Sternborg Funeral Home from Saturday evening until time of services.
Mr. and Mrs. Dickinson moved to Estherville after their marriage and lived here 25 to 30 years. They moved to Washington state 10 years ago. Mr. Dickinson was employed as a carpenter while here.
Mrs. Dickinson, the former Clara Forstrom while living in Estherville, was an active member of the Rebekah Lodge and of Union Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband and son, Lawrence, highway patrolman of Humboldt and two grandsons. Also surviving are a number of brothers and sisters living in the Fairmont, Dunnell and St. Cloud, Minn. vicinities and a relative in southern Iowa.
Burial following the services Monday will be in the Oak Hill cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 16, 1957)
