Walter W. Dean, Superior, Passed Away at Estherville Nov. 4
Walter W. Dean passed away at the Birney hospital in Estherville Monday, November 4. Death came as a release from a paralytic stroke he suffered October 25.

Mr. Dean was born at Huntly, Ill., February 4, 1864. Thirty nine years ago he was married to Miss Abbie Wiseman at Wall Lake. They with their family moved to Emmet county in 1919. Ten years ago the family moved to the Evergreen farm south of Superior.

He is survived by his wife and eleven children, nine sons Wylie of Laurens, Walter, Lynn, Lester, Fred, Herbert, Howard, Milan and Robert of Superior, two daughters, Mrs. Karl Kempa and Miss Edna Dean. Two sisters, Mrs. Fred Wiseman of Brookings, S.D., and Mrs. Ida Brightwell, Arcade, Ia.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in the Presbyterian church in Estherville. Rev. A.D. Bailey had charge of the services. Burial was made in Oak Hill cemetery. (Spirit Lake Beacon, Spirit Lake, IA, November 14, 1935)
