Mrs. A.F. Lynch, Ill Many Years, Dies at Age 81
Mrs. A.F. Lynch, 81, a long time resident of Estherville, died yesterday afternoon at Holy Family hospital following a lingering illness. Mrs. Lynch had been in the hospital for the past seven weeks and prior to that had been in ill health for sometime.

Born May 26, 1871, at Clinton, Mrs. Lynch’s maiden name was Mary Ann Brogan. She was daughter of John and Mary Brogan. She was married to A.F. Lynch October, 1899, at Ayrshire and the couple lived there until moving to Estherville in 1902. She received her schooling at Clinton. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic church.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Margaret; and a brother, John Brogan of Waterloo. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Rosary will be at 9 p.m. today at the Sandin funeral home. Services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic church with the Father James Duhigg officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until the time of the service. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 20, 1953)
