The infant babes of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Drooley and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Phinney died the past week of whooping cough. The fond parents may be assured of the community’s sincerest sympathy in their sorrow. (Emmet County Republican, Estherville, IA, January 21, 1897)
