Estherville – Services for Mrs. Melvin (Mabel May) Beaver, 86, rural Estherville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Friday, Jan.11, 1985 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. til time of services Monday.

She was born Nov. 13, 1898 at Minburn, the daughter of Ray and Grace Yard and attended the Minburn School. On July 3, 1917, she was united in marriage with Melvin Beaver at Spirit Lake. She lived and farmed in the Estherville area most of her life and continued to live on the farm after her husband’s death Sept. 24, 1975.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Betty Jean) Reynolds, Estherville and one granddaughter, Michele Reynolds, Iowa City.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 12, 1985)
