Mr. Frank Stanerson has been very low with cancer of the stomach the past few weeks. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, March 1, 1911)

Mr. Frank Stanerson died at his home north of Dolliver Wednesday, March 8th, of cancer of the stomach. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, March 15, 1911)

Death of S.F. Stenerson
S.F. Stenerson [Stanerson] passed away at his home five miles northwest of Dolliver March 8th, after an illness of five months of cancer of the stomach. The funeral services were held at the Lutheran church at Dolliver, conducted by Rev. Akre of this city, and burial was made in the cemetery near the home of the deceased.

Stauer F. Stenerson was born at Vespestad, Norway, August 8, 1849, and came to America with his parent when seven years of age. He was married to Julia Thompson at Nevada, Story county, Iowa, December 20, 1875. To this union ten children were born, eight of whom with a wife are left to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father. The children now living are Mrs. Martha Thompson, of Dolliver, Mrs. Gertie Laffey of Armstrong, Mrs. Sadie Thompson and Mrs. Josie Hillestad, of Kanawha, Thomas E., John A., Florence G. and Olive C. reside in the vicinity of Dolliver. One daughter, Mrs. Nellie L. Keefe died October 15, 1910 at Denver, Colorado, and an infant son died February 26, 1880. Thomas Stenerson of this city is a brother of the deceased. Mr. Stenerson had resided in the vicinity of Dolliver since 1883, coming from Wright county where the family had lived for many years. He was an honorable, upright citizen, a kind and loving husband and father and good neighbor, and his loss will be sadly felt in the community where he was loved and respected by all who knew him.

The family wish to thank the many kind friends and neighbors for the kindness shown during the sickness and death of their husband and father. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, March 22, 1911)
