Obituary of Elif Swanson
Elif Wilford Swanson was born January 25, 1889 in Emmet Co., Iowa to the parents Andrew and Mary Swanson. He was baptized by Rev. H. Engh. He was ill about a week previous to his death and on Monday, January 28, 1924 he passed away, aged 35 years and 3 days. His mother preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his father and four brothers, Ed, Walter, George and Bert, all of Estherville.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, January 30, at the home and at the Estherville Lutheran church, Rev. S.A. Berge officiated preaching on the words found in Philippines 3:20-21. Interment was made in the East Side cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, February 20, 1924)
