Mrs. Jenny Ruby Dies
Mrs. Jenny Ruby, 92, of Estherville died at 1:15 o’clock this morning at the Balmer Rest Home. She had suffered a stroke Saturday. A complete obituary for Mrs. Ruby will be published in tomorrow’s Daily News. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 5, 1955)

Rites To Be Thursday for Mrs. Ruby
Funeral services for Mrs. Charles R. (Jennie) Ruby will be held at 2:30 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the Sternborg funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Eastside cemetery. The Rev. Harrison G. Dawes will officiate.

Mrs. Ruby died yesterday at the Balmer Rest Home following a stroke.

Jennie Dell Markham was born May 10, 1863 at Boscobel, Wisc. She was married to Charles R. Ruby May 10, 1880 at Lake Mills where they lived for 21 years. After moving from Lake Mills, they resided in Estherville and Ida Grove.

Surviving Mrs. Ruby are a daughter, Mrs. Harry W. Sidles of Estherville, four sons, Leonard of Fergus Falls, Minn., Levern of Woodland, Calif., Raymond of Motley, Minn., and Merle of Fort Dodge; 15 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband who died Oct. 28, 1936, a daughter and two infant sons. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 6, 1955)
